The Challenge
Simmons Power & Soft Washing is a family-owned pressure and soft washing company in Lakemoor, Illinois, serving homes and businesses across Lake and McHenry County with a 5-star Google rating. The work was strong. The website was not keeping up with it. It was a 15-page WordPress and Elementor build where every page shared one long template, no page had a main heading, and the homepage weighed 8.4 MB across 142 requests. On a phone, the main image took 28.5 seconds to appear in a standard Lighthouse test.
The bigger gap was the path to a price. The company already had an instant quote tool that measures a home from above and prices it on screen, but the old site sent visitors to an estimate request form and a wait for a callback. Competitors ranking above Simmons had far more pages, including town-by-town pages and live pricing. The owner wanted a site that loads fast on a phone, ranks in the towns the crews actually work, and puts a real price in front of a homeowner before they ever have to call.

Solutions
Custom Next.js build, mobile first
Replaced WordPress with a custom Next.js site. Hero photos from the company's own 4032px originals served as AVIF, no third-party scripts in the critical path, and every image sized. Homepage weight dropped from 8,367 KB to 786 KB.
Instant quote from every page
An address box on the homepage, every service page and every town page hands the visitor straight to the instant quote with the address and service already filled in. A short contact form and a call-or-text card sit beside it for people who would rather talk.
Local SEO structure: services, commercial and 15 towns
Eight residential service pages, a holiday lights page, a commercial hub with four pages, and 15 town pages, each with its own local copy. Business, service, FAQ, review and breadcrumb schema on every page, and every old WordPress URL redirected so no ranking was lost.
Proof that stays current
The Google rating and review count are pulled live from Google, the reviews page carries real reviews verbatim, and a before-and-after gallery shows real jobs photographed by the crew, grouped by service.
We rebuilt the site around one action: get a price. Every page that a homeowner might land on, from a service page to a town page, opens with the same address box, and it hands them to the instant quote with their address and the service already filled in. Visitors who prefer a person get a call-or-text card and a short form instead, so no one is forced down a single path.
Underneath, the structure is built to be found. The old 15 pages became 39, each with one clear heading, its own title and description, and schema that tells Google and AI search what the business does, where it works and how customers rate it. Every old URL redirects to its new home. On the standard Lighthouse mobile test, the homepage went from a performance score of 64 to 97, accessibility from 87 to 100, and the time for the main image to appear from 28.5 seconds to 2.6 seconds.
